AUGUST 23, 2010 :: The Wheatley Racing team returned to the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky on Friday evening, August 20. Jason Wheatley qualified well and later ran second in the dash to earn the outside front row starting spot for the Open Wheel Modified main event. Jason then led the majority of the A-Main until he was passed in lap traffic with only five laps remaining by eventual race winner Michael England. AUGUST 16, 2010 :: Jason Wheatley, of Loretto, Kentucky, traveled to the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky last Friday night, August 13 for a regular weekly Open Wheel Modified event. Jason qualified well and later won the dash to earn the pole position for the A-Main. After leading the opening eight circuits of the main event, Jason wound up a strong runner-up behind race winner Michael England. AUGUST 8, 2010 :: The Wheatley Racing team returned to Open Wheel Modified competition on Saturday night, August 7 at the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky. Jason Wheatley won his heat race in preliminary action and later started the feature event from the outside of the front row. The Loretto, Kentucky driver then wound up second in the A-Main after crossing the stripe behind only winner Benji Lee. JULY 26, 2010 :: Jason Wheatley and his #7 Open Wheel Modified team invaded the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky and the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky over the July 23-24 weekend for a pair of $3,000 to win American Modified Series (AMS) showdowns. On Friday night at Ponderosa, Jason won his heat race prior to finishing second in the 'Summer Shootout 30' behind winner Bryan Barber. At Bardstown on Saturday evening, Jason once again won his heat race in preliminary action before recording a third place performance in the 'Bluegrass Rumble' behind winner Michael England and runner-up Shelby Miles. JULY 19, 2010 :: The Wheatley Racing team racked up their ninth Open Wheel Modified feature victory on Friday night, July 16 at the legendary Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky! After winning his heat race, Jason Wheatley dominated the main event to lay claim to the $600 triumph over Don Adams, Benji Lee, J.T. Ayers, and Kelly Warren. Following a rain-out at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday evening, July 17, the $5,000 to win 'Mod Squad Spectacular' was pushed back to Sunday at PRP. Jason once again won his heat race in preliminary action prior to notching a sixth place finish in the A-Main. JULY 12, 2010 :: Another weekend, another win for Loretto, Kentucky native Jason Wheatley! Following a rain-out at the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky on Friday night, July 9, the #7 Open Wheel Modified team ventured to the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky on Saturday evening, July 10. Jason won his heat race in preliminary action and later controlled the pace throughout the main event. He recorded his eighth feature win of 2010 by defeating Benji Lee, Josh Lucas, Earl Plessinger, and J.T. Ayers. JULY 5, 2010 :: The Wheatley Racing team just keeps winning! Jason Wheatley and his #7 team celebrated the 4th of July in victory lane at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. Jason defeated a large contingent of Open Wheel Modified drivers at PRP on Sunday to collect the $1,000 payday. The win was Jason's sixth in a row and the seventh of his 2010 campaign.
